COLUMBIA, Mo. – While Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel expects to return for his senior season, he wants to hear what the NFL thinks about him.

So he has filed the paperwork to an NFL advisory committee, which evaluates where college underclassmen might be selected should they declare for the draft.

"It's going to be almost 99-to-one against me leaving. It has to be something special," Daniel, the former Southlake Carroll star, said after a workout in preparation for the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. "When I committed here three years ago, I promised them four years to play."

Daniel's stock has risen dramatically this year after being named a Heisman finalist and leading Missouri to the Big 12 title game. He said he would sit down with his parents and the Missouri coaching staff after receiving the information from the NFL and make a decision.
